Yk Group of Refractories

Y K group of Refractories was started in the year 1979 by Sri Yugal Kishore Prasad, who was one of the pioneer in the field of Refractories. He started his career in mining, during the mining period he thought about refractory. During that period he gained tremendous insights into refractory technology by working alongside refractory consultants.
After spending 15 years in mining field he then came forward to put his vision into reality by starting a refractory plant of his own and brought the plant to its technical peak.
His vision was to build a plant in such a location that it will be close to major Steel Plants like Rourkela Steel Plant, Durgapur Steel Plant, Bhilai Steel Plant etc. which were major refractory consumers.
With his farsightedness and vision Y K group of Refractories was born and has progressed from a Small Scale Industry to one of the leading players in refractory market.
